We believe you deserve to know what’s happening in your community from a local news source you can trust. That’s why we're actually rooted and invested in our community — your community. We take the time to connect to everyone from local business owners, teachers, students, farmers and local citizens to state legislators, city council members and school board members.
We want to earn and keep your trust. We want you to feel seen and heard. We use every cent to keep delivering our in-depth news while making it free and accessible to everyone. To keep our momentum going, we’ve set a goal to raise $5,500 by April 27.
When you support the Dallas Observer, you enable all of us to be better informed, connected and empowered. You bolster our commitment to enacting real change.
Will you support our spring campaign to help us flourish in the upcoming year?
What do you get in exchange? You get a small, scrappy staff of journalists who work hard each day to find important stories others ignore and ask important questions that get to the core of what's really happening in Dallas and North Texas. For example:
- We’re closely following how the November elections are currently impacting local residents, nonprofits, and elected officials.
- We’re tracking the continuing efforts to censor what books are on library shelves in Texas and continually updating our list of the most targeted books in Texas.
- We’re working on the 2025 edition of our annual Best of Dallas® issue, cataloging all the good things in Big D.
- We’re doing thorough updates to our lists of the Top 100 Bars (coming in July) and Top 100 Restaurants (coming in December).
There are also other perks and benefits, so support local journalism today!
Thank you for believing in the Dallas Observer and helping us plant the seeds for a stronger community. Together, we can build a future we’re all proud of.
