By now, Meridian Room regulars know that the joint quietly reopened a few weeks back, as we promised in October following news of its demise a month earlier. And with not too many changes — some updates in the kitchen and two or three labels added to what co-owner Vince O’Keefe likes to call the “beer portfolio.” But aside from those imperceptible alterations, “Nothing was broken, so we didn’t need to fix anything,” O’Keefe tells Unfair Park today.
He phoned this afternoon to invite folks to the Meridian Room’s official grand re-opening tomorrow night. Because, sure, Expo Park-ers may be back, but O’Keefe and his partners want to make sure everyone else knows that the Room’s open again and, well, same as ever. That’s right — menu’s untouched, so fret not. Says O’Keefe, “We wanted to keep the same concept, keep the neighborhood going and keep everyone happy.” Which no doubt makes some of you very, very happy.
