In the photos shared by the anonymous DeuxMoi tipster, it appears that Powell drank a house margarita. Sweeney likely didn’t indulge in margaritas. Last year, the Euphoria actress revealed in an interview with Women’s Health that while she’s not “strictly sober,” she usually sticks to water. “I just identify as just a water person. I never really think about alcohol,” she said.
Style expert Courtney Kerr, who is married to Joe Leo owner Kyle Noonan, took to her Instagram Story after the DeuxMoi news broke, seemingly confirming that the table ordered Joe Leo’s signature Golden Tacos plate: two crispy beef picadillo tacos with a side of Mexican rice and refried beans.
According to the anonymous tipster, Powell and Sweeney were in town for Powell’s sister’s wedding. The two stars, as well as several of their friends and family members, were also apparently hanging out at Park House one night while they were in town. There’s no telling what the two ate or drank though, given the exclusive nature of the club.
Though there are no photos of the actors at Hudson House, a source close to the restaurant confirmed that Sweeney was there for brunch one morning, as well as members of Powell’s family. The tipster, who was evidently among the guests, said that the actor himself wasn’t present at brunch. There’s no way of confirming what Sweeney actually ate, but we might be able to guess. In a 2023 interview with People, Sweeney revealed that one of her favorite comfort meals is “Kraft mac and cheese and hot dogs.” While this is more of an at-home snack, we surely hope the White Lotus star stepped it up and tried Hudson House’s incredible mac and cheese. It's one of our favorites.
Sweeney and Powell’s appearance in Dallas comes just days after she called off her wedding to film producer Jonathan Davino. According to Us Weekly, Sweeney and Davino “are not fully split” and, “They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now.”
Shortly after they were seen in Dallas, Us Weekly also reported, “There is nothing going on romantically between Glen and Sydney. They are just friends ... Sydney is close with the entire [Powell] family.”
Evidently, Sweeney was invited to the wedding by Powell's sister Leslie and reportedly brought one of her friends as a guest after having RSVP’d to the wedding months ago.
Powell hails from Austin and recently collaborated with Texas director Richard Linklater on the 2023 film Hit-Man. Powell is set to star in the Hulu series Chad Powers, in which he plays a disgraced college quarterback named Russ Holliday, who disguises himself as a man named Chad Powers in order to revive his sports career. The series is set to premiere this fall. He will also star as Ben Richards in The Running Man this fall, which is based on the 1982 novel by Steven King. In this movie, Powell’s character is a contestant on a game show who is being chased by hunters trying to kill him for prize money.
Meanwhile, Sweeney recently wrapped production on a psychological thriller called The Housemaid, which is based on a 2022 novel by Freida McFadden. She is also currently hard at work on the third season of HBO’s Euphoria, the pilot of which was directed by Dallas native Augustine Frizell.
