Houston-based Becks Prime Restaurant is opening its first Dallas location at 5931 Forest Lane (at Preston) soon. The Thrillist reports that pending the city's approval, the restaurant's cooks could be flipping burgers as soon as this week.
The first Becks opened on Kirby Drive in Houston in1985, serving fancy burgers a full 25 years before "upscale burgers" started trending.
At Becks, they grind their Angus chuck roast daily and pat it out into half-pound patties, which are cooked-to-order over mesquite wood coals. Their steak sandwiches have always been very popular. They also have quarter pound Boar's Head hot dogs, which are made specifically for them.
Becks Prime is consistently ranked as one of the best burgers in the state by Texas Monthly. Ninth this year.
As soon as we get a solid date on their opening, we'll update.
