Bottled Blonde Closes Temporarily. When Will it Reopen?

The popular bar near Deep Ellum is evidently getting an updo. Or blowout. We're not sure which.

Each month, we look at booze sales around Dallas; the state publishes a report of total alcohol sales for every bar and restaurant in the state. Bottled Blonde along North Good Latimer between Deep Ellum and downtown has long dominated the top 10 on that list, often pushing north of $500,000 in sales each month.

For the latest report, which was for February's numbers, the massive bar wasn't in the top 25 in Dallas. Looking through the TABSReport, which compiles data from state records, the bar sold $311,449 in liquor in February, which by all means is still stellar. However, that was its lowest amount for the past six months (notably, the shortest month).

But in October 2024, it sold just north of $800,000 in liquor. A half-million-dollar dip in four months is kind of stunning, though, right?

A year ago, in February 2024, the bar had over $850,000 in sales.

That is a wildly turbulent swing.

Today, a red bar under Bottled Blonde's Google page signals the bar is temporarily closed. A peek at its Instagram reveals the bar has announced it is closed for remodeling.

The Instagram page simply says, "temporarily closed for renovations.... stay tuned for updates."

We reached out to management for details, and if we hear back, we'll update this post.
