Just at the split of Highways 121 and 114 in Grapevine, there is a sports bar with over 70 Texas-sized televisions, 32 kinds of cold beer and a menu stacked with delicious food. The biggest attraction, however, might be the buckle bunnies who work there — or, as they’re officially known, the Rowdy Cowgirls.
“These women are walked-out-of-a-magazine gorgeous,” says Regional Director Julia Smith of the female bar and waitstaff. “These are actual, real-life Instagram models.”
Rowdy Cowboy’s flagship restaurant in Grapevine opened in 2024. Since then, the local franchise has expanded to two new locations, in The Colony and Round Rock. The business is quickly taking over Texas with its unmatched combination of beautiful bikini-clad women, always-cold beer and sports playing on televisions that can easily be watched from any seat in the house.

The food is as irresistible as the servers. The menu ranges from standard bar food such as wings and burgers to elevated dishes like the wagyu tomahawk steak.
On the appetizer list, aptly titled “First Rodeo,” the Burnt Ends Jalapeños are a fan favorite. Just be sure to order them with a beer or other beverage to soothe your tastebuds, because the menu’s three jalapeño icons don’t lie: These poppers bite back. And the burnt ends stuffed inside of them pair nicely with that kick of heat, especially when dipped in the accompanying ranch dressing.
Another frequently ordered item is the quesabirria tacos, with good reason. The cheese is perfectly melty, the brisket is tender and flavorful, and the consomé dip is mouthwatering. It’s not hard to find quesabirria tacos in North Texas, but finding good ones takes some effort. These are good ones.

To keep things rowdy, there’s a special for every day of the week.
Most notably, every Tuesday is Texas Twosday. Everything on the drink menu that is Texas-made is $2 off, and everything eligible for this discount is marked on the menu with a bronco-riding cowboy icon.

“We are Texas-originated, and we’re proud to be Texans,” Smith says. “Everything in Texas is bigger and better, and why not be proud of it?”
Rollertown Beerworks out of Frisco is one of the company’s North Texas partners, and the brewery’s 133 Premium Pilsner is one of the light beers on tap at Rowdy Cowboy. Not only does it do a fine job cooling off the heat from the jalapeño poppers, but it’s perfectly light for a warm day.
When the weather is nice, a covered patio offers equal access to sports-watching. The patio can be reserved for events, as well.
With two North Texas locations, Rowdy Cowboy has you covered if you’re looking for a new regular sports bar.
