After a month-long experiment that seemed to work out well for all parties involved, Vickery Park appears to be keeping its hat in the live music venue ring: Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights will play a free show at the well-regarded drinkin’ hole at 11 10 o’clock tonight. Denton’s We Are Villains open the show at 10 9:15.
I ran into JT last night at Bryan Street Tavern, the new bar (and, soon enough, part-time live music venue) from the people that run the Barley House. He said fans can expect a few more free, announced-on-short-notice shows at non-traditional venues in the coming weeks. But this one, if the shows at Vickery Park in February were any indication, should be a pretty fun time. Plus, y’know, it’s free.
