There were no Fair Park Fourth-goers to be found in the Esplanade Fountain this year, not like last year. All was calm and orderly as thousands marched into the Cotton Bowl, save those who didn’t want to ditch their baby strollers. And, yet again, the great Justin Terveen was on hand to capture the spectacle — this year, from high atop the star-spangled tower near the Fair Park DART station, from which he’d hoped to recreate, as best he could, this iconic shot of Fair Park taken during the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition.
On the other side: a shot of the shooter. And no, Justin, that doesn’t look scary at all.
