I am keeping up with Pamplona bull running news this week, because my son, Will, is over there and determined to run with the bulls this weekend. This is the latest news: “Charging bulls gored seven people and seriously injured several others Thursday as this year’s San Fermin festival in Pamplona served up its longest and most dangerous run yet.”

I ask myself at times like this why I couldn’t have been blessed with a son who would have followed in his father’s footsteps — which is to say, one who would go to Pamplona and write a report criticizing folks’ running styles rather than actually taking part himself. If he lives, I will get him to blog something for Unfair Park. –Jim Schutze
