We’ve been doing a lot of talking about Denton’s, Sarah Jaffe these past few weeks–and with good reason. Her new album, Suburban Nature is already on our short list of best local albums for the year.

And, after touring with Midlake and getting scooped up by Norah Jones for a few shows, it seems like she’s starting to make a name for herself on the national stage. Over the weekend, Paste Magazine posted an profile piece about Jaffe. The article, part of the magazine’s regular “The Best Of What’s Next” feature, says that Suburban Nature plays “like wise, witty diary entries marked with teardrops, growing pains and effusive honesty.”

Pretty solid stuff from the folks over a Paste. Expect similar praise to keep coming once the album comes out officially on May 18. Of course, you can get it now on iTunes or in person on Friday, at Jaffe’s CD release show at Sons of Hermann Hall with Seryn.
