I’ve
never given much time to The Tallest Man on Earth until I received a
copy of his most recent album, There’s No Leaving Now. Since then, I
haven’t been able to remove it from my player. Heavy on Dylan
inspiration, it’s clear Kristian Matsson, the Swedish man behind
the moniker, is a top-notch songwriter. What’s more impressive is that
he’s done it in a second language.

of rock’s great songwriters, Jackson Browne, will be at the Verizon
Theatre, armed with only an acoustic guitar. Good songs can be stripped
down to their basic form and still stand up well, which Browne proves.

Much
ado has already been made of this bizarre booking for Moz in Wichita
Falls. Why he would choose to skip the metroplex to play a show in the
smallish town to the Northwest is anyone’s guess.
