Today and tomorrow, the National Cheerleaders Association‘s Senior and Junior High School National Championships are taking place at the Dallas Convention Center. (No wonder our Thursday-night poker game’s light a few players tonight. Hunh.) Surprisingly, our Girl on Top didn’t find a way to enter; figured that was right up her alley. Ah, well. Our loss. And yours.
Nonetheless, the fact a few hundred of the cheerier gals of this fine nation have descended upon our fair town hasn’t been lost on everyone. Here, a local MySpacer with a thing for — oy — “fantasy faires” finds herself on a DART train with “150 cheerleaders and two smiling homeless guys.” And you wonder why we never link to random local blogs. –Robert Wilonsky
