It’s like they’ve taken every emoji you’ve ever wished existed, spun it into a silk sculpture, then illuminated the thing. There are singing giant ants, moving dinosaurs, seductively posed pandas and more filling out a walk-through wonderland of glowing excess. It’s kind of like taking acid without having to actually take acid. It’s that good.

The Chinese Lantern Festival runs for the duration of the State Fair of Texas and requires an extra admission fee. (Tip: Do yourself a solid and pay the larger night viewing rate.)
