The Mayor of Flavortown has been busy in Dallas lately. Late last year, he visited Spec’s to sign bottles of his Santo tequila brand and reportedly filmed episodes for his Food Network show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Now, Fieri is opening a new chicken tender spot, Chicken Guy!
The new Preston Hollow Village location at Walnut Hill Lane and Central Expressway will open on Thursday, Feb. 6. This is the first Texas location; there are more than a dozen others around the U.S. Robert Earl is a co-founder of Chicken Guy! His other concepts include Planet Hollywood and Buca di Beppo.
The highlight of this fast-casual restaurant, which is a franchise owned by Kris and Ram Daswani, are panko-breaded chicken tenders and about a dozen sauces. The menu includes combo meals with tenders and fries, sandwiches and salads. There are a few sides, like mac and cheese, fried pickle chips and fries.

The fast-casual restaurant is in Preston Hollow Village.

The OG Sandwich ($6.49) comes with two fried or grilled tenders dressed with pickles and a special sauce. The Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ Sandwich and Buffalo Mac ‘N’ Cheese Sandwich are two of the heartier options on the menu.
But who wants fried chicken tenders without something to dip them in? Fieri offers a dozen sauces, all for fifty cents extra. Donkey Sauce, garlic parmesan and Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ are some of the more popular flavors.
There are six Flavortown Shakes for those with a sweet tooth, with basics (vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, and Oreo) and two fancy options: Apple Cinnamon Cereal with Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Apple Jacks, and a Triple Double Mint (that’s six mints).
Fans who show up for the grand opening on Feb. 6 at 4:30 p.m. dressed like Fieri will win extra prizes, including signed books, framed photos and autographed wine bottles of Hunt and Ryde Winery (Fieri’s wine label named after his two sons). This guy is a master at cross-promotions.
Kris and Ram Daswani plan on opening more Chicken Guy! restaurants across North Texas over the next few years.
