When you live in “Dallas” (any way you put it), you either never drive north of 635 or you live north of 635. And while Plano, Frisco, Richardson and Addison can be part of Dallas for proximity sake, from a dining perspective, they couldn’t be more different.

Which is why lists like the one we’re talking about today, the Most Booked Restaurants in the Dallas Suburbs according to OpenTable, are separate from the list of Dallas’ Most Booked Restaurants.

Every month, OpenTable analyzes over half a million new dinner reviews and sorts the results by location. These restaurants below in North Dallas and the suburbs are the most booked, according to the reservation platform. And apparently, North Dallas is a suburb. Sure, OpenTable can be whatever you want.

Spoiler alert: Legacy West is mopping the floor with the rest of the suburbs.

The 15 Most Booked

Haywire

5901 Winthrop St., Plano
A first-floor whiskey bar. A second-floor dining room and a third-floor rooftop. The numbers prove Haywire is exactly what it stacks up to be (editor’s note: Ha!). It’s a restaurant rooted in Texas pride and has a menu full of dishes to prove it: venison chili, fried green tomatoes and chicken-fried steak.

Hudson House

Related

3475 Preston Road, Frisco
You can run. You can hide. But somehow, Hudson House will always be there. Whether we like it or not, this coastal spot, inspired by the West Village in NYC, is a fixture in our dining scene. They make a few bold claims here, like having the world’s coldest martinis and that its (famous-to-them) cheeseburger is often imitated, but never duplicated. Could it be true? Three of these concepts’ locations are often the most booked in North Texas. Maybe the numbers don’t lie. Nor does mac and cheese, which we’ve annointed aas some of the best in the city.

North Italia

7501 Windrose Ave., Plano
Not all carbs are created equal, and all of North Italia’s are made from scratch daily. This Italian spot was founded over 20 years ago and they have dozens of locations around the country, three of which are in North Texas. The menu stretches across the corners of Italy with pages and pages of pizza, pasta, entrees, salads, and a full spread of wine and cocktails to go with. Some standouts are the cacio e pepe dirty martini, Italian short rib dip and the zucca chips served with pesto aioli.

Al Biernat’s

Related

5251 Spring Valley Road, North Dallas
The original Al Biernat’s opened in Oak Lawn in 1998. The second location opened in Addison in 2017, and both this location and the original always top these lists of most booked restaurants. Al Biernat’s is an original steakhouse in Dallas that has thrived for decades because of their commitment to quality and customer service.

Seasons 52

7300 Lone Star Drive, Plano
Seasons 52 is a seasonal new American restaurant that changes its offerings with the season. Ingredients are used at their peak and then cooked using rustic techniques like brick-oven roasting and open-fire grilling. Cocktails and over 100 different wines, 52 by the glass, round out the drink menu

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille

Related

2440 Parkwood Blvd., Frisco
The Perry family has had roots in Texas since 1979. In 1993 they opened the first Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille. Today it’s an award-winning steakhouse with a sprinkle of locations across North Texas and the country. Last month, OpenTable named it one of the Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in the U.S.

Kenny’s Wood Fired Grill

5000 Belt Line Road, Addison
Kenny’s Wood Fired Grill is reminiscent of the way things used to be: equal parts comfortable vibe and fine dining. For 20 years, they’ve done lunch, dinner and a small weekend brunch with chicken and waffles, Grand Marnier French toast and chicken-fried steak and eggs. The regular menu follows a classic steakhouse menu with a selection of cuts, seafood, and appetizers like the half-pound crab cake.

Fogo de Chao

Related

5908 Headquarters Drive, Plano
Unlimited, continuous tableside carving of premium Brazilian beef cuts for $65 per person? Duh, it’s one of the most reserved restaurants.

Eddie V’s

5300 State Highway, Plano
Seafood comes first at Eddie V’s, then steak. But the lobster from Maine and salmon from Norway do not outshine their prime cuts and most impressive 12-ounce Snake River Farms Gold Grade Wagyu Strip.

Benihana

Related

7775 Banner Drive, North Dallas
Did someone say hibachi? Benihana is a Japanese chain that is dinner and a show all in one. Diners must flock here for the happy hour menu, priced at $3, $6, and $9, or the five-course experience, which costs only $39.

Seager & Sons

5864 State Highway 12, Plano
Seager & Sons is the first one-of-one restaurant to make this list. As per its motto, they want you to “indulge in a unique harmony of craft cocktails while listening to vinyl records as you enjoy our hand-stretched pizza, fried chicken and a frosty cold beverage at our bar.” The fried chicken is a family recipe that’s been passed down, and is served with hot honey and green stuff

Taverna

Related

7400 Windrose Ave., Plano
Taverna serves North Italian-inspired cuisine at Legacy West. It offers a chef-driven menu with house-made pasta, creamy risotto, antipasti, seafood and other seasonal Italian dishes. The weekend brunch veers has more American dishes like avocado toast and a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, but who notices when the mimosas and bellinis are $3?

The Capital Grille

7300 Dallas Parkway, Plano
The Capital Grille is the epicenter for the modern finance bro. It’s a Texas micro-chain with locations around the state, and this spot in particular has a 4.8-star rating on OpenTable, which is crazy if you ask us. They must be doing something right.

Bulla Gastrobar

Related

6007 Legacy Drive, Plano
Bulla was inspired from the famous gastrobars in Spain that stir your senses and your appetite. They serve five different types of paella, plus a bunch of different small and large plates that are ideal for group dining. ICEX (Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade) awarded them the Restaurants From Spain Award, which recognizes restaurants that embody the highest standards of authentic Spanish cuisine.

Earls Kitchen + Bar

7401 Windrose Ave., Plano
Earls in Legacy West is a trendy new American restaurant with a dozen restaurants around the country. Decorated with local art, Earls offers a sunny patio and a lively bar. The menu is inspired by global flavors: Tuscan seared salmon, jumbo shrimp cocktail and honey-glazed Tomahawk pork chop are on the highlight reel.
