Rodeo Goat Now Open in Addison

Rodeo Goat has opened a new location in Addison, on Midway Road just south of Belt Line Road, in a building that previously housed Spring Creek Barbeque. This is the 10th Rodeo Goat in North Texas.

The burger joint and watering hole is known for over-the-top burger creations, monthly burger battles and many strong libations.

Their current Battle of the Burgers is quite timely: the McKamala (a beef patty, American cheese, onions, pickles, ketchup, mustard with a nacho cheese Doritos bun) versus The McDonald (two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, horseradish, pickles, onions with a Cheeto bun). The latter is winning by a landslide.

At Rodeo Goat, they grind meat in-house and offer the prized 44 Farms beef, chicken and turkey patties. There are salads, hand-punched fries along with bowls of Texas caviar (chilled black-eyed pea salad) and brisket chili. The Steaming Pile is a mountain of jalapeno-cheddar tater tots with cheddar, chive goat cheese, bacon and fried egg and a dash of truffle oil. It’s all a lot here. We’re not arriving at Rodeo Goat for a light meal.

Shannon Wynne, Keith Schlabs and Larry Richardson, the co-founders of Rodeo Goat, are also behind several other dining and drinking spots in Dallas, including Meddlesome Moth, Miriam Cocina Latina, Flying Saucer Draught Emporium and Flying Fish.

All Rodeo Goats have $3 Moontangs (moonshine and Tang) all day on Monday and half-price cheese fries on Wednesday (dine-in only). Rodeo Time (happy hour), Monday – Friday, 3-6 p.m., includes $6 margs and Rattlesnakes.
