The Canadian rapper has been settling into his new life as a Texan. Last year, he bought The Inn at Dos Brisas property, which is nestled between Austin and Houston in Washington County. This sprawling country retreat features equestrian facilities, three stocked ponds, pools and an organic farm. Even with all those acres for outdoor activities, sometimes you want to go to a bar for a drink and watch some sports.
Over the weekend, Drake was seen at The Alibi Bar in Chappell Hill. Not only did he post about it with the caption “Come see us at the Alibi Bar one day,” but the bar and other patrons confirmed his visit. It looks like he came in on a Friday when the Houston Astros played against the Chicago Cubs, winning their game 7-4.

While Drake has been enjoying Texas life, we’ve been running back his Song of the Summer contender, “Nokia.” The song has been such a success, a comeback track after this feud with Kendrick Lamar, that reports surfaced “Nokia” was eligible for a platinum certification by the RIAA after being out for just two months.📸 #Drake was on Instagram this weekend sharing a photo from his Friday night out at the Alibi Bar in Chappell Hill, TX. He also shared a new post from the Brenham Saddle Shop. The caption says “The legacy continues. See you all again soon.” 🤠 pic.twitter.com/K0bgKaG4qK

However, given the weekend Drake spent drinking with his fellow Texans, maybe we should be playing “Shot for Me” from Drake's classic album Take Care. That was made by Drake and The Weeknd, who is credited as a songwriter and was originally supposed to appear on his House of Balloons mixtape.
Back in February, Drake teamed up with PARTYNEXTDOOR for a joint album called $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. “Nokia” was a standout, as were “CN Tower” and “Raining in Houston.”
Drake has been teasing an upcoming album called Iceman. Fans are speculating Drake is revealing the album through subtle hints on Instagram, posting photos of Formula 1 racer Kimi Räikkönen, who is nicknamed the “Iceman,” and actor Val Kilmer, whose character in Top Gun was also called “Iceman.”
What we do know about the Iceman is that he can knock back a few brews. Invite us out next time!
