If you’re around Texas Live! this weekend, you might be surprised to find that the crowd isn’t there for a major sporting event. Stray Kids, JYP Entertainment's eight-member boy band, is coming to Arlington on June 6 and June 7.
Ahead of the group's arrival, their fanbase, affectionately called "Stay," has been lining up for merch. They call themselves Stay because when you take the "r" from Stray, it becomes Stay. The "r" is the reason why Stay is here with them, the band explained during a radio interview.
Videos of the North Texas faction of Stays camping out overnight on Thursday have made the rounds on TikTok.

Stray Kids are touring North American stadiums as part of their "dominATE" Tour. Last year, their latest album, ATE, scored them a fifth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. The group also introduced their own SKZHOP genre with last December's HOP. It blended their sound with hip-hop while simultaneously transmitting a core message. In Korean, "hop" translates to “unite,” which reflects the union of the group’s members. The album also features each member's own solo tracks, which they have been performing on this world tour.
If this is the first time you've heard about Stray Kids, the group's name stands for their determination to break and escape from tradition, formalities and the old system. All members contribute to vocals, rapping and live performances. They're also credited for producing the majority of their own discography.
