U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett, representing Dallas, has emerged in recent years as a powerful national voice. But it seems our sister-in-arms and her sharp tongue have caught the attention of the chief executive officer of the United States, President Donald Trump.

“[Democrats] have a new person named Crockett,” Trump said during an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press. “I watched her speak the other day and she’s definitely a low IQ person.”

It didn't take long before she responded to Trump’s insults on X.

"For you to be in charge of the WHOLE country, you sure do have my name in your mouth a lot," she posted. "Every time you say my name, you're reminding the world that you're terrified of smart, bold Black women telling the truth and holding you accountable. So keep talking..."
The initial pointed comment came as the president was discussing the future of the Make America Great Again movement. Trump made sure to point out what he sees as Democrats' inferiority, which he described as “in total disarray,” and critiqued Crockett as the future of the party.

The congresswoman has been an outspoken critic of the president and many of his followers. After sending a succinct and to-the-point message to Elon Musk, the representative said her birthday wish was to take down the billionaire tech tycoon, who is allegedly behind thousands of federal layoffs in the name of money saving. She notably got into a spat with fellow Congresswoman Nancy Mace, which ended in Mace asking Crockett if she would like to take their altercation outside.

If the last two years of Crockett's time in Congress are any indication, it seems we'll have many more viral moments.
