You may have recently read that North Texas is home to five of the top 10 real estate markets in the United States. Perhaps it's no surprise to see that McKinney ranks at the very top of the recent WalletHub survey. McKinney has been raking in the accolades for its housing and quality of life lately. Also near the top are the bustling burbs of Richardson and Frisco, with Denton and Allen rounding out the top 10.

But what about Dallas? According to WalletHub, Dallas might not be the "best" real estate market, but it's always a pretty hot one. Of course, housing in its many forms is always an incredibly hot topic around town and in city hall, with zoning issues, density questions and affordability concerns grabbing attention and headlines regularly.

Big D also knows a thing or two about extravagant housing and palatial living. Need proof? Check out Zillow, like almost every curious adult these days. And this is a good time to check below for the current top 10 most expensive home listings in Dallas, because there has been some considerable movement in the rankings since we last checked a month ago.
