Henry’s Majestic has closed. The British-themed pub originally opened in Uptown but was forced to move in 2022 after its landowner sold the property. Atwater Alley, its side hustle speakeasy behind the restaurant, was shuttered completely at the time.
The owners packed the restaurant’s kitschy decor and moved into a sprawling space in West Dallas where Chicken Scratch and The Foundry once lived; there was also another chicken place there before Henry’s moved in.
This parcel of land has a couple of buildings (one of which was originally a garage) along with a large stage. The 300-seat courtyard under sprawling trees was really the main character here. The gastro pub had a great cocktail program and hearty fare.
In early August, we received a tip that the place had closed. Its Google page has a red bar of death under its photo.

We contacted the owners, hoping to get some intel, like if they may pack it all up for another space in the future, but we have not heard back. Bummer. We really liked this place.
