I know you want some, but chances are you won't be able to head to your local grocer of choice to pick up a jar of Monster Jam anytime soon. Sure, nothing says "yummy treat" like a Frankenstein Zombie Marmalade sandwich with a side of Vampire crisps, but that's not the jam that you're going to find at Reunion Arena (777 Sport St.) this weekend. Instead, this Monster Jam will feature huge-ass trucks with names like Grave Digger, Blue Thunder, Bad Habit and Pit Bull (though you may be disappointed to know that Towasaurus Wrex won't be making an appearance here) doing things that only monster trucks can do. There will be plenty of smashing, bashing and crashing going on, though you'll probably want to stick to the concession stand fare if you get a bit peckish, because gnawing on tire rubber isn't very tasty. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, with a 7:30 p.m. showtime. Tickets are $5 to $25 with a $2 day of show price increase. Call 214-373-8000 or visit monsterjamonline.com.
