People are flocking further north in North Texas, looking for their lot in life away from the hustle and bustle of Central Expressway and that stoplight at Lovers and Greenville Avenue. We get it.
Hurtado Barbecue announced yet another expansion (they recently added a trailer to the scene at Oak Highlands Brewery). Owner and pit master Brandon Hurtado posted on Facebook that “years after raising our family in Argyle, coaching sports here and delivering food to friends and family nearby, we’ve finally been blessed with the opportunity to open our FIFTH Hurtado Barbecue location in the heart of @townofargyle!”
Much shorter commute.
He added that they hope to open next Spring and it will be located off Route 377 and Highway 407.
Will you step up to support Dallas Observer this year?
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If the Dallas Observer matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
Hurtado Barbecue has previously been one of the Texas Monthly’s top 50 barbecue joints, ushering in a new style of Mexi-cue, a wonderful blend of Tex-Mex, brisket and smoke. We’re partial to the birria tacos, tostadas and, honestly, anything there. Straight brisket or desserts, we’ve not met a tray of food from Hurtados that we didn’t like.
The spot was also featured in the new season of Landman, which premieres on Nov. 16.
