The Real Housewives of Dallas star LeeAnne Locken is really, really mad at me. And not because I made fun of her blush, like most other people on Twitter do. And not because I made a jab at the fact she is a Real Housewife and not even technically married. And not because I published the harsh anonymous email about her I once received. No, Locken is mad at me because of this sentence.
After this article was published Wednesday, Locken subtweeted, referring to me as “Poor Paige” for taking money from “MR” and “kissing her a$$.” It ended with the hashtag “#ObserveThis.” I took the clues and figured I was the “Poor Paige,” MR was friend of the Housewives Marie Reyes, a$$ could only mean ass, and #ObserveThis was in reference to the Dallas Observer. I don’t want to call myself a genius for figuring out subtweets, but I’ll let you do it.
Because I have never taken money from Reyes, or even been offered any, I took a screenshot of the tweet and tweeted that I wish that was the case because, man, what a gig.
From there, blocked.

And when other people responded to Locken and her subtweet, they were also blocked.
After a few hours of intense inward reflection on the fact that I had been blocked by a Real Housewife of Dallas, I did some further digging and learned that she had blocked me on Facebook and Instagram too. We had never been friends on Facebook in the first place, nor had we ever had any interaction on Instagram.
I will admit I am taking this a bit personally. One time I called her an “overall pretty person” and another time I stood up for her when she made a jab at Plano. So, I have occasionally called the show boring while covering it, but to be fair, the public has seemed to agree with me. The ratings weren’t great.
But man, she’s really mad I pointed out her sponsored Instagram post for headphones.
