Initially, he teased the project as an EP. "I don't know which one I'm going to drop first, but I got a country EP loaded up. You got Shaboozey, you got Morgan Wallen, you got Post Malone, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll," he told Complex last December. "I also got another project I'm putting together, kind of like the South mix of me, Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, NLE Choppa."

Since that interview, BigX hasn't stopped working. This year, he's performed at festivals all around the world, from Coachella to Wireless Festival, with upcoming appearances at Osheaga Festival in Montreal and Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco.

He's also been using his Instagram to share unreleased tracks in anticipation of his third album in three years as an independent artist. The first was for "to whom it may concern." Over a sample-heavy beat, BigX reflects on making it off rapping, staying out of the streets for his kids, traveling internationally and owning a home with a six-car garage as a humble brag.

The second unreleased track could be one of the songs on I Hope You're Happy. Titled "Hell at Night," BigX collaborates with Ella Langley, a Nashville-based country singer with Alabama roots. "I hope you turn your heater on and it blow cold / I hope you leave your car running at the store and it get stolen / I hope you have a nightmare every single day of your life / I hope you have a bad morning and one hell of a night," BigX tees off on the hook before Langley comes in.

While the official tracklist hasn't been revealed, you can expect BigX's "Home" to be on there. He and Shaboozey shot the video on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge during rush hour traffic, disrupting drivers. According to WFAA, the shoot was permitted through the City of Dallas Office of Special Events, adding to the number of productions filmed in North Texas. You can pre-save I Hope You're Happy here.
