Update, 7/13/2025:

BigXThaPlug continued his European tour at Wireless Festival on Saturday. After performing at Roskilde Festival in Denmark, Openair Festival in Switzerland, Slottsfjell Festival in Norway and Splash! Festival in Germany, BigX made a commanding debut on the main stage.

The weekend saw headliner Drake bring out Lauryn Hill and Yeat for Friday and Saturday. He'll headline the final night of Wireless Fest on Sunday.

Check out photos from BigX's set: See original story below.

Our hometown hero, BigXThaPlug, is a global superstar now.

On Monday, Wireless Festival revealed its full lineup just days before fans head to Finsbury Park in London this weekend from July 11 - 13. The lineup features a first in that Drake will be returning to headline Friday, Saturday and Sunday, which is perfect timing because he dropped a new single, “What Did I Miss?”
Other artists announced for the festival include PartyNextDoor, Summer Walker, Sailorr, Boy Better Know, SahBabii, Burna Boy, Vybz Cartel, Popcaan and more. It mixes a bit of UK grime, hip-hop, R&B and dancehall, surely to be a weekend to remember as Wireless Festival celebrates 20 years.

On Saturday, BigXThaPlug is bringing Texas rap to the Wireless Festival. This continues his run of recent shows where he has been performing for the first time in Europe.

The 27-year-old rapper continues to make his rounds on the festival circuit in 2025, building up his fanbase and promoting his last album, Take Care. Here in the U.S., he’s done Coachella, Stagecoach, Sand in the Boots Festival and Governors Ball. He’s shared the stage with Post Malone in Detroit during his Big Ass Stadium Tour, showing how far the North Texas natives have come.

While we’ll be supporting BigX from here in The Big D, those of you who are going to the Wireless Festival can get hyped by watching his first performance in Germany at Splash! Festival, which is Germany's biggest hip-hop festival. Here’s the setlist from it, where he performed for about an hour to a crowd who were moshing to his songs. BigX says that during the set, he missed all his flights and had to drive five to six hours from Frankfurt to get to Splash!

Our food editor Lauren Drewes Daniels loves “Back on My BS.” “Because aren’t we all always on our BS?” she says. BigX performs that song, and we can’t get enough of “The Largest.”

“I know where the fuck we at, we’re in Germany. But I came all the way from Dallas motherfucking Texas,” BigX told the crowd. “I’ma say it again, I came all the way from Dallas motherfucking Texas to show y’all why everything is bigger.”
