The North Texas star's generous tip was "life-changing," according to Houston server Renee Brown.

In pop culture, in folklore and on the discount rack at Hobby Lobby, Santa Claus is typically depicted as a pudgy, bearded and (invariably) white man. In reality, he also has face tattoos.

Two weeks ago, Post Malone might as well have ridden off in a sleigh after performing a Christmas miracle at a Houston dive bar.

As Music Mayhem reported on Sunday, the North Texas singer born Austin Post visited Houston bar The Railyard Bar with rapper Shaboozey on Christmas Eve.

The two played music on the jukebox into the early hours of Christmas. Posty met some of the staff, including 36-year-old Renee Brown, who was then bartending.

“I initially didn’t realize he was there until one of my coworkers from my second job came inside and told me that Austin was outside on the patio,” Brown told Music Mayhem. “I thought he was kidding with me at first, then I kept seeing people go outside [and] I kept making drinks for like 30 minutes before curiosity got the best of me, and lo and behold, he was there.”

The bar had been slow during the day, but business naturally picked up after the stars walked in.

“I told all my regulars not to be weird and bug him as it’s a neighborhood dive bar, and I’m sure he picked a place like that to feel a sense of normalcy,” Brown told Music Mayhem. “It lifted the spirits of the entire bar. It was amazing to see everyone so happy and seeing how kind he was to all the people that spend their days with me on the regular.”

Brown told the publication that she’s a single mother to a 9-year-old girl. When she spoke to the singer, she told him she was sad to be away from her child during the holidays.

Then, Post pulled a move out of a Frank Capra movie.

“Everyone that he was with was also so kind and inviting, we had a great night jamming to songs on the jukebox. Then came time for last call and to close. When Austin asked for his check, he didn’t have one because many regulars and his friends bought his beverages,” Brown told Music Mayhem, adding that he asked her to charge him any amount so that he could add a tip.

“So he asked me to ring him up for a penny or anything, so I did,” Brown said. “I continued my close and collected all my checks and started to enter my tips. Then I got to his. It was a tip for $20,000.”

This is another notch on Posty’s nice-guy reputation.

Brown, who told Music Mayhem she works two jobs and has no car, said she cried as she thanked the singer.

“Going into work Christmas Eve, I was so sad I had to leave my baby girl to go to work, oblivious that God would send me a Christmas miracle,” Brown said. “This is hands down the most humble, personable celebrity I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He changed my life on Christmas fucking Eve, and I will forever be grateful. Thank you so much, Austin.”
