Joe Benjamin is a man who has it all: a loving (albeit dysfunctional) family, a successful box factory that makes him millions each year and a luxurious house on Long Island equipped with a wisecracking butler and maid. For all of his earthly riches, Joe credits his love and devotion for God. But when an unexpected messenger named Sidney Lipton appears, Joe unfortunately finds himself at the center of a spiritual wager that turns his picture-perfect life upside down. Presented as a hilarious adaptation of the biblical Book of Job, Neil Simon's God's Favorite runs at the Richardson Theatre Centre, 2701 N. Custer Parkway Suite 911, in Richardson, through May 1. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $20 to $22.
