There’s never been a more fitting name than “Fashion’s Living Canvas.” It’s a runway show in which the models literally become the canvas for one look as artist Sharon Hodges paints her interpretation of the designers’ creations onto the models’ bodies. I know what you’re thinking and yes, Hodges will save a ton on paint since these gals typically split Tic Tacs for dinner. I kid, of course, they probably eat Cheez-Its and Crunch Berries like the rest of us. Aside from the body paint spectacular, the show will be true to form featuring six Texas designers and a 200-foot catwalk at the Hilton Anatole’s Atrium II, 2201 Stemmons Freeway. The event is open to the public and admission is free for standing room only. General admission seating is $20 and VIP seating is $150 with proceeds benefiting The Fashionistas student scholarship fund. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts promptly at 8:30 p.m. For more information or to purchase tickets, sashay on over to fashionslivingcanvas.eventbrite.com.
