While the rest of the country is getting over their gay pride celebration-induced hangovers, Dallas is just kicking its own festivities into high gear. That means it’s also time for the annual Dallas Pride Performing Arts Festival, presented by the Uptown Players. Since you can’t start off a good pride celebration without a hearty breakfast, it’s best to catch Five Lesbians Eating Quiche at 8 p.m. at Kalita Humphreys Theater, 3636 Turtle Creek Blvd. It’s the story of the 1956 annual breakfast of the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein, and things just get exponentially weirder from there. While it’s not as risque as a porno you could surely find by the same name, Five Lesbians Eating Quiche is still an 18-and-older show. And you probably shouldn’t come hungry. It’s doubtful they’re going to share any quiche with the audience. Tickets are $10. Visit uptownplayers.org for more information.
