The Altercation Punk Comedy Tour is coming to the constant-joke-set-up venue Someplace Else, 1900 West Arbrook Blvd. in Arlington, at 10 p.m. If you’re curious what distinguishes punk comedy from regular comedy, the first thing you should know is it’s strictly 21 and up. Founder JT Habersaat put out a comedy album earlier this year, Hostile Corporate Takeover, featuring fellow touring punk comedian Joe Staats. Also gracing and abusing the stage will be Dave Rodriguez, singer of the band Krum Bums, Jay Whitecotton, who’s performed at Fun Fun Fun Fest, and Norm Wilkerson of the Unbookables. Habersaat has been on Comedy Central, acted opposite Ron Jeremy and is one of the few comics who has shared the stage with Henry Rollins, the living embodiment of rage behind a comedy mic. The bar may be cash only, but the tickets are completely free, so there’s really no reason to miss this. Just make sure to check your more delicate sensibilities at the door.
