Whether snagging a spot at the famous Kaboom Town! celebration or opting for a low-key show launching from a local park, most gatherings also include family-friendly activities like face painting and food trucks in the lead-up to the pyrotechnics. Dare we say there are plenty of things to red, white and do this Independence Day? And the fun isn’t restricted to Friday, either.
Below, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite places around DFW to catch fireworks shows big and small. If you prefer a modern spectacle through the use of drones, there's even something for you, too. And if you want to really get in the patriotic spirit, queue up this special Fourth of July playlist we put together featuring North Texas musicians.
