Crowd Sourced Art Crowds are the primary focus of Francesca Bifulco’s art, and this Saturday WAAS Gallery will welcome one in her honor for the opening of her debut solo show Inside Out of Touch. Bifulco is from Italy, but she has lived and worked in Los Angeles since 2012. The central piece in Inside Out of Touch is a large acrylic painting titled “At The Fair,” which depicts a young girl lost in the crowd at — you guessed it — a fair. Like many of her other works, it presents the roiling beast that is created when individual personalities collide and provokes questions about social interaction in contemporary society. Her style toes the line between the figurative and the abstract, just one of many dichotomies she explores. There will be an artist talk at 6pm, with a reception to follow. Inside Out of Touch will be on view through January. WAAS gallery is located at 2722 Logan St.
Sat., Nov. 8, 6-8 p.m.; Mondays-Sundays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Starts: Nov. 8. Continues through Jan. 1, 2014
