For a while there last month, it seemed like Fort Worth-based Telegraph Canyon might start looking for property in Dallas -- or at least a Wal-Mart to park the band's trailer. After playing a late set in the DOMA showcase at Bandera, then appearing onstage at the Granada for our music awards ceremony, they graced us with another Wednesday night performance at Deep Ellum's SPACE Studios.

Their plans for next Friday night, though, leave no doubt as to their Fort Worth credentials -- they're slated to open for the Old 97's at Bass Hall, then follow that up with a listening party at Lola's for their upcoming release, The Tide and The Current.

The new album's due out Tuesday We told you last month the album's up for streaming online, but if you want one song to put in your pocket and carry around with you, you'll find it after the jump. Those of you with a copy of this year's DOMA compilation CD will be familiar with this one, but the band's been good enough to offer "Shake Your Fist" as a free download.
