The biggest concert this weekend is undoubtedly the already sold-out Wu-Tang Clan show at Granada Theater tonight.
With the obvious exception for Old Dirty Bastard, every member of the Wu will be at the performance except for RZA. But even without the drum machine genius, this is one of the most anticipated performances of the year.

Tonight, Sean Russell and The O's perform at Lola's Saloon in Fort Worth, and New Riders of the Purple Sage will be at Dan's Silverleaf in Denton.
On Saturday, The Dead Twins will be at La Grange in Deep Ellum, and Whiskey Folk Ramblers will be over at Lola's Saloon along with Denton's Spooky Folk. Also in Fort Worth, James McMurtry will be at The Aardvark.

For the entire month of December, AllGood Cafe owner Mike Snider plans to host his favorite acts of the year on the AllGood Cafe stage. On a recent lunch break spent at AllGood, Snider came over to the table and talked to us about his love for Austin's Stone River Boys. As for The King Bucks, judging by their past bookings at AllGood, they might be Snider's all-time favorite band.

Not sure if we would be so bold as to make that claim, but we can say that this will be a show worth seeing, especially since it's THe BAcksliders final performance until March 2011.

As a part of La Grange's brunch series, Rahim Quazi's whimsical pop will be the perfect accompaniment to your Bloody Mary. Former Sorta front man Trey Johnson's more of a huevos rancheros kind of a guy.
Dead Week Print Show

We're guessing it's called "Dead Week Print Show" because UNT students are heading home for the holiday break, but that's still no excuse to miss this really solid lineup at Rubber Gloves. Art by P.A.N.T.S. will be displayed, Peopleodian, Dear Human, and Pinkish Black will perform, while Pan Ector provides live screen printing.
Boys Named Sue

It's that time of year where local bands line up performances that benefit their favorite charities, and the Boys Named Sue are doing an unprecedented three benefits starting with Sunday's Toys For Tots show at this Henderson Avenue hotspot. To get in, just bring an unwrapped toy. According to The Sues' Facebook page, "You'll be ready to spend a few days with the fam after this shit!"
Chill Sunday
Sunday, December 12, at House Of Blues Foundation Room
The motto on the Chill Sunday Facebook page says "Eat Drink be be Loungey." Never thought of the House Of Blues as much of an ultra-lounge, but that's what it will be on Sunday, looks like. DJs Daishiki Jones and Israel Marcano will provide the music; all you have to do is show up and lounge around.
