Taco Diner West Village

With a name including the word "diner," patrons would ostensibly imagine a greasy spoon famous for tacos. That ain't the case. Taco Diner's interior is sleek and modern. Light wood, purple-and-white color scheme, tile bar wall and subdued evening lighting are on par with corporate owner MCrowd Restaurant Group's original concept – the cuisine of Mexico's capital brought to Texas. Fresh guacamole and especiales de la casa, like the tacos "de brisket" and asados "a la parrilla" are faves. There are several locations, but this one in particular seems like the epicenter of new urbanism in Dallas. There is generally a crowd, and a great patio for people watching--attractive people watching attractive people.
