In this week's column space, I geeked out about some of the projects that very-busy local producer Picnic is about to drop in the upcoming weeks and months.
And for good reason, too: Guy's just got a lot going on, between working with Kid Cudi, The Cannabinoids (who'll be touring with Erykah Badu and Mos Def on the west coast in September), Diabolical Fancy, Amanda Diva, Johnny Polygon, and, perhaps most exciting to us in the office, his collaboration with Astronautalis called Max Moon.
We'd been hearing about those two's collaboration for some time now, but it was only a couple of weeks back now where, according to Picnic, we heard a song that's "pretty indicative of the stuff [they'll] be doing together," via the Official Kixpo 2009 Mixtape. The song, called "Urban Outfitters," has, along with the rest of the tape, been available as a free download since it was first posted on July 24, but since we've been jamming it pretty constantly around the office since we first heard it, we wanted to make sure we highlighted it again for you.
After the jump, take one more listen. And, yes, download away. Not because we told you to, though. Trust us, you'll dig this collaboration.
