Put your money where your mouth is. Various Dallas eateries supply food and drink for worthy causes. Read on for details of this week's charitable happenings.

The place: Morton's The Steakhouse The cause: Make-A-Wish Wish Upon a Par Golf Classic: 25 foursomes will compete to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For $185 enjoy a day for good sportsmanship, lunch, dinner and a live and silent auction.

The event takes place Thursday, November 4 at Cowboys Golf Club, 1600 Fairway Drive, Grapevine. Registration and brunch is at 10 a.m. with a noon shotgun start followed by a reception and dinner.

The place: Village on the Green The cause: Scottish Rite Hospital for Children Take a seat at the Longest Chef's Table in Dallas. National and locally recognized chefs prepare their creations while you enjoy live music from the award-winning students of Booker T. Washington School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Also, during the benefit a silent auction will help raise funds. Seats are $125 per person, and the event begins with cocktails at6 p.m. November 11. For more info, visit here.
