Few things in art are exactly as they sound, which can prove confusing, especially if you’re a little confused by art already. Saturday, that changes as the all-volunteer led program Slow Art Day creeps, ever so cautiously, through our local museums. Yes, on Slow Art Day you’ll inch along, staring at five pieces of art for a solid 10 minutes each with the goal of seeing more and making new discoveries inside the works. Then at lunch you sit with your fellow slow-motion groovers and compare notes while talking with sloppily full mouths. It’s a global celebration, and in Dallas you can hitch your star to groups at The Crow, the DMA, the Nasher and even the public art of the Arts District. Slow Art Day runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
