Originating in 2010, the North Texas Road Trip project--consisting of 15 members of the Dead Photographers Society--set out to capture and interpret the people and scenes of several small, rural communities 75 miles north of McKinney. The resulting exhibit chronicles each photographer's one-day journey into the outside stretches of the North Texas landscape. The Dead Photographers Society was established on a collective appreciation for black-and-white photography and traditional darkroom techniques. Over time, the group has evolved into an open forum for the discussion and education of all things dealing with the art of photography. North Texas Road Trip runs through until April 9 at the Bath House Cultural Center, 512 E. Lawther Drive. Admission is free. Gallery hours are noon. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
