Who would have thought that the few drops of precipitation we'd see this summer would be enough to rain out Addison's Fourth of July fireworks festivities? Well, it was and it did. But this isn't some lame collection of sparklers and flaming pinwheels. The Town of Addison's Kaboom Town is one of the country's bigger, better fireworks displays. Undaunted, the event returns this weekend with the pyrotechnic equivalent of Christmas in July. But Kaboom Town's triumphant resurrection deserves a tagline catchier than "Independence Day on Labor Day." How about "Kaboomapalooza" or "Kaboom Two: Electric Boogaloo?" Don't like those? What about "Kaboom: The Reckoning" or "Kaboom Revenges Yet Again?" "Kaboom: Final Reciprocation?" I've got a million of 'em...obviously. The Town of Addison presents the aptly titled Kaboomerang 8:30 p.m Sunday at Addison Circle Park, 4970 Addison Circle Drive. Call 972-450-2851 or visit addisontexas.net/events/kaboomtown.
