Among today's moving items is a deleted scene from a movie you haven't even seen yet: Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, which contains a few scenes shot in Dallas, including a run-in at the Adolphus Hotel and another at a local garage sale. Among the scenes axed were some shot at the Premier Athletic Club, but this one's actually on Commerce Street in downtown, where Borat (Sacha Baron Cohen) and his producer Azamat Bagatov (Ken Davitian) run afoul of some Dallas police officers, who don't take kindly to their mode of transportation, an ice cream truck. The cop don't high five nobody, dig?
The movie opens in November 3. I've seen it, like, two and 1/10th time already. Best part: The Running of the Jew. Oh, and in this clip, when he says, "A noose," he means "anus." IJS. --Robert Wilonsky
