A year ago, John Pena Medellin, aka "Papa John," aka "Uncle John," the founding president of the Los Homeboys motorcycle club, was head of an operation that purchased large quantities of black-tar heroin, meth, and coke (some of it from Dallas' Enchanted Hills apartments, and distributed it throughout the DFW area.

That was until he and a couple of dozen of his fellow affiliates of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club were arrested after federal agents infiltrated their operation by opening a motorcycle repair shop. The local U.S. Attorney's Office sends word that Medellin was convicted today of conspiracy to distribute heroin. He faces a maximum of 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine, with sentencing scheduled for March 11, 2013.

And that pretty much wraps up the feds' case against Bandidos Motorcycle Club. Medellin was the last of the group to be convicted.
