H-E-B hasn’t just expanded into North Texas; it’s aiming to rule it.
And we’re not mad about that. The prices and quality are superior.
H-E-B has been in the news lately for its response to the Texas flood recovery efforts. The Butt Family, H-E-B and the H.E. Butt Foundation announced a five million donation to those affected by the floods that devastated areas across Texas the past week. Of that donation, two million will go to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund.
Locally, The Dallas Morning News reported H-E-B has announced its next North Texas location set in the massive planned community Walsh Ranch, a mix of neighborhoods and retail development sprawling over 7,000-plus acres, west of Fort Worth between White Settlement and Aledo.

An opening date isn’t available yet, but construction will begin late in 2025.
Since opening its first North Texas location in Frisco and Plano in 2022 (after established stores in Burelson and Waxahachie), the San Antonio-based grocery store has opened 10 stores, including one recently in Melissa near a Buc-Ee’s and is currently working on stores in the following cities:
Prosper (fall 2025)
Rockwall (late 2025)
Forney (early 2026)
Mid-Cities (mid-2026)
Dallas (late 2026)
Murphy (2026)
Irving (late 2026)
Robson Ranch (near Denton, late 2026)
We’ll keep an eye on all these stores, especially the first and only store in Dallas.
