This time a year ago we were directing you to the Echo Theatre production of The Executioner’s Sons, the first winner of the Big Shout Out! competition, so it’s only fitting that one year later the independent theater company, created for and by women, is presenting a stage run of the third and final winner, Isabella Russell-Ides’ The Early Education of Conrad Eppler. A fantastical story directed by Pam Myers-Morgan, the play tells the tale of a heavenly revolution in which three adolescent angels appear on Earth to rewrite the future of heaven, the earth and the Garden of Eden with the assistance of 10-year-old mortal Conrad. Russell-Ides’ The Early Education of Conrad Eppler runs through February 25 at the Bath House Cultural Center, 521 E. Lawther Drive. Thursday night performances are always “pay what you can,” while $15 to $25 tickets are also available for Friday and Saturday night performances. Call 214-904-0500 or visit echotheatre.org.
Thursdays-Sundays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 2 p.m. Starts: Feb. 9. Continues through Feb. 25, 2012
