Because There’s Always Room in a Bag of Holding

Calling all orcs: Your nerdiness has a new home base. It’s a gaming store that promises to provide “a safe and accessible place for gamers of every level,” which means this heckling bitch won’t be there. Common Ground Games (CGG) will officially open on Free Comic Book Day which means both pomp and circumstance will be in attendance. Throughout the grand opening they’ll offer “play, prizes, discounts, delicious snacks and even a bev or two.” Plus there’s a ribbon-cutting ceremony and something tells me a wizard hat or cloak will be involved. CGG goes beyond your wildest Magic: The Gathering dreams by offering board games, card games and role-playing games, too. Stop by 1328 Inwood Road starting at 10 a.m. Saturday for tizzles and wizzles of fun. It’s located next to Zeus Comics & Collectibles, so just make a damn day of it. Visit boardgamesdallas.com.
