Or Shop Girl "Now that I'm a senior, I decided to be a love interest and kiss Claire Danes on the face" Steve Martin? Not me. But, Writer Steve Martin is where it's at. And, at 8 p.m. this Friday and Saturday (or 3 p.m. Sunday) you can see Martin's Picasso at the Lapin Agile at Runway Theatre, 215 N. Dooley St. in Grapevine. It's fantastic. Tickets cost $15 for adults, and $10 for students and seniors. Performances continue through February 11. Call 817-488-4842 or visit runwaytheatre.com.

Alice Laussade writes about food, kids, music, and anything else she finds to be completely ridiculous. She created and hosts the Dallas event, Meat Fight, which is a barbecue competition and fundraiser that benefits the National MS Society. Last year, the event raised $100,000 for people living with MS, and 750 people could be seen shoving sausage links into their faces. And one time, she won a James Beard Award for Humor in Writing. That was pretty cool.
