Get a Kick Out of Anything Goes

The world has gone mad today, and good’s bad today, but never mind. Just bounce your worries away with the de-lovely Anything Goes, Artisan Center Theater’s revival of the 1934 Cole Porter classic musical. It’s the usual guy-meets-girl, guy-loses-girl, guy-and-girl unite bouncy comedy spiel, this one set aboard an ocean liner and featuring such well-known Porter originals as “De-Lovely,” “You’re the Top,” “Let’s Misbehave” and the titular “Anything Goes.” Never heard of them? Then crawl off your couch for a sample of a great American Broadway standards. The show is at 7:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays until August 18. Tickets are $18 for adults, $16 for students and senior citizens and $9 for children 12 and younger. For more information, visit artisanct.com. The theater is at 418 E. Pipeline Road in Hurst.
Mondays-Saturdays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: July 23. Continues through Aug. 18, 2012
