What do you do after you front Black Flag and go successfully solo (or, at least, as an eponymous band), start your own publishing house, write a dozen or so books, act in a variety of films, work as a radio DJ, and tour with a sort of stand-up comedy-political commentary hybrid (several times)? Travel photography, naturally. In his latest book Occupants, Henry Rollins tackles widely varied international destinations through his insightful and famously witty writings, but also, for the first time, through color photography. It’s no shock that Rollins has an eye for photo composition—his 2.13.61 Books has released a couple of brilliant collections by other talented photographers—but it’s the paired writings that reinforce just how spirited and talented punk’s stern-faced poster boy still is. Rollins discusses his travels as part of his Long March tour at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 3 at UNT’s Murchison Performing Arts Center, 2100 N. Stemmons Freeway in Denton.
