Got a zany aunt? At the very least you have a fun relative — and by “fun” we mean of the “beat of a different drum” sort. Well, leave your oddball with the more patient folk and get out for an evening on your own at Jubilee Theatre’s Auntee Explains X-mas. The play, adapted from Rudy Eastman’s book and with music and lyrics by Joe Rogers, features Jubilee’s own Auntee giving a bizarre comedic and musical spin on some classic Christmas tales. There may even be pantomime. By curtains, your heart might just be a bit warmer, your own relatives more endearing and the holidays more tolerable. Don’t worry. Jubilee Theatre doesn’t require a thank-you note. Auntee takes the stage 8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays through December 30. Jubilee Theatre is located at 506 Main St. in Fort Worth. Tickets are $15 and $25. Call 817-338-4411 or visit jubileetheatre.org.
